Selection Criteria: Above scholarships are for dependents and planning to attend U. of Wyoming or Wyoming community college.

Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarship
Selection Criteria: The National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) awards numerous scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of degrees in diverse disciplines including history, law, nursing and education. Amount: Multi-Year scholarships renewable for up to four consecutive years at an accredited college or University.

Gen and Kelly Tanabe Student Scholarship
Selection Criteria: High school students and current college students may apply. Applicants must complete an online application and answer an essay question. Information can be found at: www.genkellyscholarship.com.
Essay is usually about “Why do you deserve to win this scholarship” or “Describe your academic or career goals”or “Any topic of your choice”.
Amount: $1000
Due Date: Fall competition is from August 1 to December 31 and the spring competition is from January 1 to July 31.
Heather Joy Memorial Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Scholarship is for any student planning to attend college. Applicants must submit an application, two letters of recommendation and a 250 word essay describing their personality and interest.
Amount: $1,000

National Western Stock Show Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Selection Criteria: Participate in National Western Stock Show in January. Planning to major in Agr. Science and have at least a GPA of 3.0.

The Daniels Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Selection Criteria: Students from NCHS are eligible for the Daniels Fund Scholarships. Students need to be nominated by a designated Referral Agency. NCHS is a referral agency. Minimum score on ACT of 17 and financial need are two important criteria for being selected. Please access the web site for more information: www.danielsfund.org.
Amount: Scholarship will cover all or part of a student’s required college expenses.

Sally Beauty Supply LCC Scholarship- Mesa State Scholarship Competition Day
Selection Criteria: Scholarship is available to any high school student planning to attend a cosmetology school.

Craig & Susan Thomas Foundation Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Students who are in the process of acquiring their high school diploma or GED and plan to attend a Wyoming community college, University of Wyoming or a Vocational/Technical School. Preference will be given to students who are “AT Risk”, Learning Disabled, Environmentally Disabled or Developmentally Disabled. Preference is also given to non-Hathaway recipients.

First Freedom Essay Competition- 1st Amendment Rights
Selection Criteria: The first essay contest offers 9th – 12th grade students an opportunity to compete for cash awards as they examine the First amendment and the history and relevance of religious freedom in America.
Amount: $750- $3,000

AAL Scholarships: (Fraternal Benifits and Financial Services for Lutherans)
Selection Criteria: Have AAL certificate of membership. Have grades/desire which merit entrance requirements at institution of your choice. Need to take ACT or SAT no later than December.

NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund: Constitution Essay Contest
Selection Criteria: NRA Civil rights Defense Fund sponsors a scholarly writing contest for grades K-12 celebrating the Second Amendment of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Contest is open to all students in elementary, junior high or high school. Essays should be about 1,000 words, double spaced. Visit http://nradefensefund.org for more information and application.

National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Selection Criteria: Need a 3.0 GPA and must support the preservation of the hunting tradition and actively participate in hunting sports. A copy of current hunting license is required. Students must hold a current NWTF membership. For more information, see website at: www.nwtf.org

American Quarter Horse Association Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Must be a member of the association and be in upper 25% of your class.
Amount: Up to $8,000

Masonic-Range Science Scholarship (SRM)
Selection Criteria: High school seniors and college freshmen or sophomores who plan to or who are currently attending a college program in range management may apply. Applicants must by sponsored by a member of SRM, the National Assoc. of Conservation Districts, or the Soil and Water conservation Society.
Amount: Over $6,300 in scholarships are available.

VII Corp Desert Storm Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Applicant must have served or be a family member of those who served with VII corp in Desert Shield/Desert Storm or provide comfort or one of the support base activities.

Black Hills Stock Show Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Applicants for these annual scholarships must be attending high schools within South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming and Nebraska and must plan to attend a post-secondary accredited institution, including technical institutes, in the five-state area. These scholarships are to be utilized the first semester of the school year following the recipient’s high school graduation.

University of Wyoming College of Agriculture Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Planning to attend UW and major in Ag.
Amount: Awards will be based on academic excellence and overall achievements.

McKelvey Foundation Entrepreneurial Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Scholarship is available to high school seniors who have demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating their own business while in high school.
Amount: $40,000

Superior Student In Education Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Scholarship for anyone planning to major in education at the University of Wyoming. This includes elementary, middle school or high school.
Amount: $1000 annually

Wyoming Game Wardens Association
Selection Criteria: This program, originated in 1986, provides a source of financial assistance to Wyoming high school seniors who wish to pursue their education after high school. The cash scholarship is valued at $350. Presently two are awarded per Wildlife Division Region in the state, amounting to 14 total scholarships. These scholarships can be used for any trade school, community college or major university, instate or out-of-state. The senior must complete an essay application containing questions related to Wyoming's environment, hunting and their future plans. The recipients are picked by the game wardens in each region based on their essay answers and financial need.

WESTCO Scholarship
Selection Criteria: Every year WESTCO grants numerous $1,000 scholarships to promote and encourage high school graduates to pursue higher education in the agricultural and agribusiness fields. This program is intended to encourage high school graduates to remain in the region in agricultural careers which result in community betterment and preservation of an agricultural way of life.
